Craigie House Care Home

Craigie House Care Home is a bright and homely residential care home nestled in the heart of Crossgates. Offering personalised care plans for every resident, the home specialises in residential and end-of-life care, creating a calm, welcoming environment where individual needs are met with warmth and professionalism.

Once a beloved schoolhouse, Craigie House holds a rich history, often sparking fond memories among local neighbours. Today, it combines its historical charm with modern comforts, including a spacious lounge, a charming conservatory that opens onto the garden, and an onsite hairdresser.

The enclosed garden provides a tranquil spot for relaxation, while the home’s central location on the main street offers easy access to local amenities. Craigie House’s close ties with the primary school next door foster a strong sense of community, with regular visits creating meaningful connections.

Comfortable Living with Thoughtful Touches

Care at Craigie House is delivered by a small, dedicated team who take pride in offering personal and attentive support. Every staff member is committed to ongoing training to uphold the highest standards of care.

The home’s thoughtful design includes a cosy lounge, a bright conservatory with direct garden access, and personalised bedrooms to ensure every resident feels at home. The onsite hairdresser adds an extra layer of convenience, helping residents feel comfortable and cared for.

Activities and Dining

Life at Craigie House is filled with joy, connection, and a strong sense of belonging. Regular family fun days, themed parties, and visits from local nurseries and primary schools bring residents together and keep the atmosphere lively. In 2025, youth groups will join the activities, further strengthening the home’s ties to the local community.

Residents enjoy freshly prepared meals every day, with options to suit all tastes. Breakfast includes hot and cold choices, lunch offers two hot options, and a variety of evening meals is available. Meals can be shared in the dining room or enjoyed in the comfort of residents’ own rooms. Dietary needs are always catered for, and the home’s own fruit and vegetables add a fresh and personal touch to the menu.

What Families Say About Us

The staff at Craigie House were excellent, particularly in the days leading up to Mum’s passing. The care provided was compassionate, patient, and professional. Staff always had a smile for everyone despite being stretched.

Son of a resident

All the staff are very helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to ensure my mother is well cared for. She is very happy here, and the home is kept immaculately clean and tidy.
