Young brother and sister duo, James and Evelyn, from Worlaby recently bought their creative flair to Baytree Court Care Home as part of a local Youth Lifestyle Project.
The Lifestyle Project is a community project run by Humberside Police which aims to encourage young people between the ages of 10 and 18 to give back during the school holidays to their local community and make a positive difference in some else’s life.
For their project James and Evelyn kindly volunteered to visit Baytree Court Care Home and spent the day supporting residents.
Bringing along a set of art supplies James and Evelyn held an art and crafts session decorating rocks with the residents of the home in a wide range of colour and patterns to brighten the home and bring a smile to residents faces.
Stella Brackenbury, Manager of Baytree Court said “We were delighted to welcome James and Evelyn to the home and they were both friendly, kind and considerate to all of our residents. We are so pleased to see they are now being recognised for all their hard work, they absolutely deserve the recognition and we wish them the best of luck.”
Since their visit, the inspirational young duo has been recognised for their kindness and hard work. James and Evelyn have been jointly nominated to receive one of the Lifestyle Project Awards which could include also include prizes such as a trip to South Africa, a trip to Disneyland Paris, UK adventure holidays, days out at Flamingo Land and more.
Although the duo will not find out which of the prizes they have been awarded until November 13th they have already guaranteed a smile from the residents of Baytree Court.
Good luck James and Evelyn!
