The latest Care Inspectorate report is packed full of positive comments about all aspects of the care home’s services, stating that “the service continued to build on enabling residents to take a more active role within Beechwood, should they wish this. This gave people a real sense of belonging and contributing to the service.”

In the report, the inspectors picked up on the full activity programme offered at the home, commenting on how the home “was engaging with the local community including joining a local walking group, memory spinners with Scottish Opera and working with a local primary school. The service has also enhanced the activities within the care home to include a yoga therapist and recent visits from therapy ponies.”
The home caters for 89 people and offers nursing, and personal care for those with dementia, as well as caring for young people with physical and/or learning disabilities.
Managing Director of Holmes Care Group, Sharifa Lakhani, believes the rating is testament to the hard work put in by staff.
She said: “We are delighted with the report’s findings.
