Our employees go big and better in 2018 for Staff Appreciation Week!
Our annual Staff Appreciation Week scheme recognises and celebrates staff members’ contributions to the company. Throughout the week several company-wide events and activities are planned for over 1,200 employees, to thank them for their dedication to advancing the Holmes Care Group mission.
Some of the Staff Appreciation Week events and activities include hand written thank you cards, certificates of appreciation, prize raffles, pizza lunches, quizes and games afternoons'.
Each year the homes also create their own 'Thank You' Notice Board, welcoming comments from staff as to why they enjoy working for Holmes Care Group, what they love most about the home they work in, and why its such a special place to be. Three of our fourteen homes are then selected by the Executive Team as the winners and receive a prize for their home, based on the following criteria:
1. Location – an area where their notice board can be seen by everyone
2. Creativity – how interesting, inspiring and noticeable the notice board is
3. Participation – how much staff, resident and relative interaction there is on their board

'Staff Appreciation Week’ was introduced by the company to demonstrate to employees just how much they are valued. Since its launch, the initiative has become so popular across the Group that employees are continually coming up with new ideas to make each year even more special and rewarding.
